Attack of the orphaned virtual server after a monitored cluster has been decommissioned.
The OpsMgr Support Team has posted an article about how to decommission a cluster monitored by OpsMgr. This procedure is very important. When you don’t follow it, you’ll end up with orphaned virtual servers.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Good question. Even though I haven't experienced this situation myself, nor having the ability to test it,I think this is the way to go about it:
When you have orphaned virtual servers you have to disable that discovery by using an override targeted at Windows Computers.
Then you have to run the PS cmdlet Remove-DisabledMonitoringObject.
This will remove all discovered Virtual Servers.
When this command has run succesfully then you can enable the discovery again by removing the override you have created earlier.
