R2: Crashing Console when running Diagram View of Distributed Applications

Related to this problem is also that topology views aren’t displayed. Only a gray field is to be seen. When one wants to open a Diagram View the OpsMgr Console crashes.

In the event logs nothing is to be found. Removing the cache file of the Console doesn’t work.

Solution

1. Repair DOTnet 3.5 SP1
2. Remove the OpsMgr Console
3. Reinstall the OpsMgr Console

All is well again. Now the Topology Views are functional again and the Diagram Views are also working.
